Opens Nov. 25
To give you an idea of the star power involved in the latest musical from Rob Marshall (Chicago), consider that Marshall lost Javier Bardem during the casting process and gained Daniel Day-Lewis, who doesn't generally bother if the material isn't spectacular. Of course, he might just have been seduced by working with the likes of Judi Dench, Sophia Loren, Penélope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Marion Cotillard. With epic, enormous productions like this, there's always the risk that the results could be awful, but at first glimpse, Marshall's adaptation of Federico Fellini's 8 1/2 looks magical.
