Carolina Crown, 'Triple Crown' — 2007

(Excerpt at 1:55 in video.)

The 2007 fan favorite "Triple Crown," by the the Carolina Crown corps, based in Fort Mill, S.C., used color-guard members dressed as horses and corps members clad in uniforms that resembled white picket fences to evoke a day at the racetrack. Common marching maneuvers like straight lines and box formations take on a different meaning once they're used as barriers to fence or free the running horses, with marchers stamping their feet and a slow-motion photo finish as the grand finale.
