Microsoft Explorer Mini Mouse

Boring as it may sound, you're gonna need a mouse to go along with your laptop (that is, unless you enjoy using a clumsy trackpad to navigate intricate Excel spreadsheets for Econ 101). One of the coolest new mice on the market — Microsoft's compact Explorer Mini Mouse — boasts BlueTrack technology, a newfangled laser tracking system that will let you use it on surfaces ranging from a granite countertop to your carpet (if you're so inclined). Need even more flexibility? Just plug the tiny USB transceiver into your laptop to use the Mini Mouse wirelessly within a 30-ft. (9 m) radius. And while the glowing blue light around the bottom of the Mini doesn't do anything constructive, it sure looks neat.
