Texas

You know you're in Texas when the local bar's claim to fame involves canned beer and a chicken. At Ginny's Little Longhorn Saloon in Austin, a shack of a place that's one of the better dive bars in the U.S., local cowboys mingle with recent college grads and knock back suds while a band plays in the corner. But what gets people really excited is a game of Chicken S___ Bingo played every Sunday. A giant bingo card is placed on the bottom of a cage, and a chicken is inserted while patrons lay down bets on numbers. Then they wait. Whichever number the chicken decides to, uh, do its business on wins, sort of like outhouse roulette. Who knew it was legal for fowl to gamble?
