Louisiana

Looking for more scenic woods into which to slice your ball? Check out Audubon Park Golf Course, located a few minutes from downtown New Orleans. It's a member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary for Golf Courses, a program that tries to lessen the environmental impact of golf courses (which can be considerable) by using fewer chemicals and less water and preserving habitat for wildlife. Along these fairways, you'll see egrets and oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. Perhaps coolest of all, you can ride a streetcar to get there. Greens fees: from $30
