Driving Miss Daisy

$106,593,296

Tagline: The comedy that won a Pulitzer Prize.

Naturally, it won Best Picture at the Oscars. Jessica Tandy (who would also win Best Actress) plays the elderly widow Daisy Werthan, who is no longer able to drive. TIME's Take: "One cannot speak too highly of the subtlety that two great actors, Freeman and Tandy, bring to their roles."
