Waiting for Godot

Another theater-of-the-absurd classic — the theater-of-the-absurd classic — is back on Broadway too, in a perfectly good, if not quite perfect, production. As Beckett's famous tramps, Nathan Lane is a little muted and Bill Irwin a tad too self-conscious, but I'd give John Goodman the Tony for his thundering Pozzo. Oddly, he wasn't nominated.
