Memorials

The Normandy American Cemetery

The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial is the most lasting physical legacy of the invasion and a solemn tribute to the soldiers who died there. Featured in the film Saving Private Ryan, the 170-acre site overlooking Omaha Beach is technically considered American territory and includes the graves of 9,387 fighters. This website features photos, videos and a 22-page guide to this moving location.
