A Disturbance in the Force

Your average massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) features hundreds if not thousands of characters players can interact with, and recording audio for all of them is a huge undertaking — meaning most of these games are fairly silent, text-heavy affairs. So Bioware's announcement that its upcoming Star Wars MMORPG will feature recorded voices for every character in the game should've been a jaw dropper. But it was the teaser trailer for the game that stole the show. The nearly four-minute sequence depicts full-scale Jedi warfare that beats George Lucas' three prequel films combined (admittedly, not difficult) along with light-saber action that makes Luke Skywalker look like the Tatooine farm boy he is. It revealed absolutely nothing significant about the game, of course — but Star Wars fans were too busy picking their jaws off the floor to care.
