Gone With the Wind (1939)

The film: A 1939 adaptation of Margaret Mitchell's novel of the same name, Gone With the Wind is a love story about two white Southerners set in the midst of the Civil War.

The line: "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

The setup: Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) delivers the line as he walks out on Scarlett O'Hara (Vivien Leigh). In 2005 the American Film Institute voted this the best movie line of all time.
