Stieg Larsson's The Girl Who Played with Fire

Available August 1

The Swedish novelist Larsson didn't live to see his first novel, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, become a colossal success all over Europe, and a semi-colossal success here in the U.S. He had a heart attack before it was published. But he left two sequels behind. The Girl Who Played with Fire takes up the adventures of the sexy and brilliant but somewhat mental teen computer hacker Lisbeth Salander (she's the one with tattoo) and her investigative journalist sidekick Mikael Blomkvist. Lisbeth has been arrested for murder. Blomkvist must clear her name. It's almost certainly the most tense, cerebral Swedish thriller you will read this summer.
