Peeved During Prime Time

Day 64
March 24, 2009

"It took us a couple of days because I like to know what I'm talking about before I speak. All right?"

President Obama, snapping at CNN's Ed Henry during his second prime-time presser over the question of when the Administration responded to the AIG bonus debacle

The typically laid-back President seems to lose his cool before a prime-time audience after being pushed to explain why he didn't come out against the AIG bonuses sooner. It's one of the few times when Obama seems annoyed at the press, and he juggles a myriad of questions, mostly on the financial crisis.

Iraq and Afghanistan, ironically, are barely touched in the hour-long event, despite Obama's saying earlier in the day that he plans to stay "on the offensive" in Afghanistan after meeting with Australia's Prime Minister in the Oval Office.
