The Senate's liberal lion, who had been mostly lying low since his brain-cancer diagnosis last May, speaks to the New York Times the day before his 77th birthday to reassure that all's going well and that he doesn't plan to leave his day job anytime soon.
It's a mostly quiet Saturday for Obama. He uses his weekly radio/video address to assure Americans that they'll start seeing more money in their paychecks soon because of the stimulus and then spends the afternoon watching his daughter Sasha play basketball at Kensington Parkwood Elementary in Maryland.
