Moscow

Construction of the Moscow International Business Centre began in September 2007 and had been slated for completion in 2012. Construction was halted in November 2008 due to financial difficulties and, a few months later, it was announced that the project had been suspended and is now unlikely to be finished. For the record, the tower would have contained 118 floors, almost as many elevators, underground parking to accommodate 3,680 cars and plenty of retail shops. In place of the tower, the developer has now proposed using the land to build three smaller skyscrapers and a large parking garage.
