Older Men On the Block

With pop gems like "You Got It (The Right Stuff)" and "Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time)," the late '80s boy band New Kids on the Block sold more than 70 million albums at the height of their success, not to mention millions of dollars' worth of t-shirts, sleeping bags, lunch boxes, beach towels and trading cards. (Yes, NKOTB trading cards.) In April 2008, Donnie Wahlberg — brother of actor and onetime rapper "Marky Mark" Wahlberg — confirmed that the now 40-something group had been recording new material for a fall 2008 tour that would continue through the summer of '09. Of course, the band isn't exactly selling out Madison Square Garden nowadays; tour dates include a traveling cruise ship in the Bahamas. Explaining the choice of venues, Joey McIntyre insisted to People magazine, "Our manager tells us this is not a cheesy thing. This is not a step back."
