"Stay" / "Chasing Pavements," Sugarland and Adele

Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles never met a note she couldn't turn into four, but she's also got a Melissa Etheridge-like ability to milk every last bit of emotion out of ordinary material. Adele stays on her notes, but at least tonight she couldn't find much to make them compelling until Nettles joined her onstage and showed her how to let loose.
Grade: C+
