Norah Jones: Slayer of Giants

The 2003 Grammy Awards was jammed with musical juggernauts. Simon and Garfunkel performed together for the first time in a decade, and both Bruce Springsteen and Eminem were up for major awards. Yet, it was the 23-year old daughter of Indian sitar legend Ravi Shankar, Norah Jones, who swept the evening. Jones won Album and Record of the year for the jazz/blues Come Away With Me and Song of the Year for "Don't Know Why" — over The Boss, Slim Shady and the Dixie Chicks. She also won three other awards. One would imagine the only hitch in the evening was having to share the stage with John Mayer.
