6. The Young'uns Are Optimistic

There was a big split in attitude at Davos. The 50-plus movers and shakers were almost uniformly gloomy, while younger attendees tended to focus more on the opportunities presented by the current global financial turmoil than on the dangers. This shouldn't be all that surprising, but it was striking how different the mood was depending on the average age of those who surrounded you.
