The Roquefort Files

Speaking of France, the President has a cheesy inauguration gift coming his way. Martin Malvy, head of a region in the Pyrenees known for its Roquefort cheese, has sent Obama a 2-kg (4.5-lb) "package of prestige" containing the fierce fromage. But as if to prove there's no such thing as a free lunch, along with the cheese came a letter lamenting the announcement of new sanctions on European foods, including a tripling of the duties for Roquefort imported into the U.S. Food for thought indeed.
