How the Grinch Stole Christmas

For a moment, try to forget that Jim Carrey ever dressed up in green as a big screen Grinch. Just block that out and remember the Dr. Seuss book that started it all, and the 1966 Chuck Jones-directed TV special it inspired. It's all here — the euphoria of Whoville, the evil Grinch stealing all the gifts, and the utopian Christmas morning. And who can forget Thurl Ravenscroft lifting up his billowing baritone in service of such lines as: "Your soul is an appalling dump heap, overflowing
with the most disgraceful assortment of deplorable rubbish imaginable,
Mangled up in tangled up knots!"
