A Smurfs Christmas
If there was an award for the most disturbing holiday TV special, it might go to this Smurfs Christmas episode, an animated short complete with its own, original playlist of Smurfs carols, an evil nemesis (who might just be the devil himself) and a dark scene in which a group of hostages face death while captive in a ring of fire. Of course, salvation comes in the form of the short, blue-faced heroes. As the mustachioed villain cackles, choral conductor Papa Smurf offers a rousing call to action: "Sing your Smurfs out!"
