The Tales of Beedle the Bard, by J.K. Rowling

They made a coy, teasing cameo in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and now here they are in full. Don't expect any cameos by the Scarred One, but do expect five charming, funny fairy tales of magic and muggles, extensively annotated and footnoted by one Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. The book is available in two editions, Standard ($13) and Collector's ($100) — the latter comes with extra illustrations and ornaments as well as a slipcase that purports to be from the Hogwarts library. If you splurge, know that all profits go to Rowling's children's charity.
