In May, three months before the start of the Democratic National Convention, another group met in Denver for its own annual soiree. The United Astrology Conference held a presidential panel on the final day of its five-day gathering, with all seven panelists predicting a Barack Obama win — this prognostication coming before the Democratic primary between Obama and Senator Hillary Clinton had even come to a close. Although astrologists' predictions seem to be met with much less fanfare than other indicators, the panelists "agreed that the passage of Saturn in opposition to Uranus, a phenomenon that begins on Election day and last occurred 45 years ago, signifies social change, transformation, and possibly upheaval" — which, according to the astrologers, Obama seems more equipped to bring about.
