Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) / Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)

Honestly, we were all a little miffed. Last Crusade was such a perfect way to end the Indy series. It made the series a trilogy, which is always better than a quadrilogy (it's just an awkward word), and the characters literally rode off into the sunset at film's end.

But no. George Lucas couldn't just let it go, could he? This is no place for a rant, because, really, the guys over at South Park took the collective Indyfan frustration to the limits of taste and beyond, but Crystal Skull is just a basic disappointment. It's not that the movie is bad—which it is—but rather that it reeks of that most odious of Hollywood afflictions: cash-in-itis.
