Georgia

H & H Restaurant, a classic soul-food joint in Macon, Ga., is the kind of place that won't just break your diet. It will cause your diet to pack up its stuff, leave town and drive straight off a cliff. For some 40 years, proprietor Mama Louise has been serving fried chicken, fried fish, macaroni and cheese and banana pudding to a local crowd. Macon boys The Allman Brothers Band were regulars (they even took Mama Louise on a couple of tours), and recently, Oprah dropped by. Endorsements don't come any bigger than that.
