Craig Robinson

Oregon State basketball coach Craig Robinson, introducing his "little sister," gave a relaxed and sweet overview of Michelle Obama's life from a personal perspective. Trying to humanize his often imposing sibling (she memorized The Brady Bunch; they shared late-night chats as children), Robinson portrayed an "impassioned public servant" and a loving wife and mother. Robinson, who shares a strong family resemblance, said his late father would be proud of Michelle for the person she has become and for her own accomplishments. He also praised Barack Obama as a man and a husband and said, "I know they'll stand by you, the American people, now and in the future." On message from beginning to end, if a little rough.
