Occupation: Russia's blogger in chief
Of all of Russia's opposition leaders, none is a bigger headache for Prime Minister Vladimir Putin than Navalny, the country's most popular political blogger. A lawyer by training and a nationalist by conviction, Navalny was at the forefront of the demonstrations that shook the country this winter. Unfazed by his brief arrest in March, Navalny hopes to create an opposition party to unseat Putin's ruling United Russia, which he derides as "the party of crooks and thieves."
