A technical glitch, or something darker? After Norway had awarded the various nations their points in the 1963 contest, British compere Katie Boyle said she hadn't been able to hear them and would go back to them later although audience members reported having no such audio problems. By the time Boyle returned to the Norwegian delegation, however, their votes had changed altering the outcome of the contest and giving victory to Norway's near neighbors Denmark at Switzerland's expense. The official line is that the Norwegian spokesperson didn't use the right procedure originally and therefore gave the wrong scores out. But conspiracy theorists still suspect foul play.
