This one almost sounded like a Hollywood script. Leading man Brad Pitt hooked up with starchitect Frank Gehry to transform the waterfront of this small town on the south coast of England. Pitt, who once had a six month residency at the architect's studio, was reportedly involved in the design phase of the scheme, which was meant to create 750 homes in 11 buildings up to 98 meters high. Despite the all-star casting, arguments raging over whether the bold towers would revitalize the city or blemish the landscape were ultimately put to rest by the economy.
