Katrina, Before and After
The Gult Coast was shredded by Hurricane Katrina, which destroyed shoreline communities in Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana. But that was only the beginning of the troubles for New Orleans, which drowned when levees protecting the city gave way. As people who sought shelter in the Superdome grew restless when they could not be evacuated days after the storm, looting became prevalent, and the other residents stuck in the city sought a way out as well
