The oil tanker Renda follows the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy as it makes a path through the Bering ice, about 165 miles from Nome, Alaska on January 8, 2012. The Seattle-based Healy is escorting the Renda as it carries more than 1.3 million gallons of fuel to help the residents of Nome make it through the winter.
