From Svetlana to Lana
Alliluyeva married her husband William Wesley Peters in 1970 and changed her name officially, and finally, to the shorter Lana Peters. Peters was a chief apprentice to American architect Frank Lloyd Wright and the former husband of his daughter. They moved to Wright's compound in Scottsdale, Arizona, though Svetlana quickly became dissatisfied with the lifestyle (and her relationship with Wright's widow), and the couple separated in two years, with Svetlana gaining custody of their 8-month-old daughter Olga.
