BMW is changing the heart of its most popular models by equipping the 528 X-Drive with a 2-liter engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission, which yields 240 horsepower as well as all-wheel-drive and stop-start technology, which shuts off the vehicle's engine rather than leave it idling at a stop. The start-stop technology reduces fuel consumption by approximately 15 percent. The 528 comes with a long-list of features from leather-faced seats to 17-inch wheels, a 12-speaker entertainment system and a navigation system. Prices start at $50,000.
