More than 1,000 Occupy L.A. activists close a major downtown Los Angeles street as part of a national "Day of Action" on Nov. 17, 2011. Twenty-three anti–Wall Street protesters — most of whom sat in a circle in a financial-district intersection and refused to disperse — were arrested.
