Long Live McQueen
The dark and dramatic creations of Alexander McQueen are celebrated in the new exhibition "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" (through July 31 at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art). The show features some 100 ensembles and 70 accessories by the late British designer, whose legacy and label have been carried on by his former assistant, Sarah Burton (now a superstar in her own right for designing Catherine Middleton's wedding gown). Here, a look back at McQueen's 19-year career.
