An Englishman in New York

Sting was one of the first people I wrote to. And I was quite surprised that only two or three days later, I got a letter back from his office saying he'd love to do it. He was one of the first to agree and then it all just kind of rolled from there. I said to him that he's the Godfather of the project and it would be a shame if he wasn't in it. I kept thinking about that title as I knew his song well. And I was thinking about what it means to be an Englishman in New York: Why did we come here and why did we leave England?
