By the end of the second week of revolutionary turmoil, tens of thousands of expatriates had fled the country — spilling over the Egyptian and Tunisian borders, out of Tripoli on chartered evacuation flights, and into the port at Benghazi, Libya's second largest city, which is now under rebel control.
