In recent years, gang culture, an import from the city, has taken root among the youth on the reservation. Though not as deadly as their urban counterparts, the reservation gangs have been blamed for a rise in vandalism, theft and violence. Cody, 18, left, describes himself as a member of the Black Wallstreet Gang, while "Junior", also 18, says that he is not a member of a specific gang.
