More than 400 companies are traded at the Mongolian stock exchange in Ulan Bator, even though trading is only open for only 1 1/2 hours each workday. While the country now encourages private investment, Mongolia is susceptible to price shocks because the country lacks economic diversification and is heavily reliant on exporting natural resources to and through China.
