Immigrants dry themselves next to a fire at the train station of Nea Vissa, the main meeting point after the migrants cross the Greek-Turkish border. Many immigrants cross along an 8-mile branch of the Evros River, the waterway that marks most of the Greek-Turkish border. It is along this route that Greece's Public Order Minister Christos Papoutsis wants to build a border fence made of reinforced barbed wire and concrete.
