The 2010 North American International Auto Show

BYD e6
A pure electric vehicle developed by one of China's most ambitious automakers, the e6 features a 111.4-in. wheel base, making it one of the largest battery-powered cars for the market, while the relatively long wheel base means the wagon-like vehicle has room for up to five passengers and cargo. The power comes from a battery BYD has designed specifically for EV batteries using iron-phosphate rather than lithium-ion chemistry. BYD says the e6 isn't just for show and is the first of a line of electric vehicles the company has planned.
