World Cup Stadiums: Homes of the Beautiful Game

Estadio Azteca, Mexico City, 1986
This colossal structure in the suburbs of Mexico City was center stage in both the 1970 and 1986 World Cups. It saw what's been dubbed the "Game of the Century," when Italy edged West Germany 4-3 in the semi-final of the 1970 tournament. In a quarter-final against England in 1986, Diego Maradona, Argentine soccer phenom and arguably the best player of all time, scored one infamous goal with his hand (hailed by him as the "Hand of God") and then a superlative one, where he slipped through half the English team before scoring with panache — it's still considered one of the greatest goals of all time.
