Tension continues to build in Ivory Coast, where more than a month ago, a national election yielded a close result, with both incumbent Laurent Gbagbo and challenger Alassane Ouattara claiming victory. Though international observers say Ouattara was the true winner, Gbagbo has refused to step down. The standoff has led to protests in the streets, some of which have ended in violence. Here, a man lies dead after security forces loyal to Gbagbo opened fire in a neighborhood known to be loyal to his rival.
