This illustration shows the crowning of the Queen Consort at the Coronation of James II and Mary of Modena by the Archbishop of Canterbury, William Sancroft, in 1685. Westminster Abbey is one of the U.K.'s most important Gothic buildings, holding the likes of paintings, stained glass, pavements, textiles and other artifacts. And the library contains archives, books and manuscripts as well as a place to study them.
