The Third Day: Hope
"This is my tribute to the American people. I kept sketching the people I saw watching, queuing, praying and waiting, and it's also a tribute to the democratic process in America that allowed this campaign. I wanted to convey this patience and serenity rather than the noise and hysteria that often comes across in media reporting of campaigns. What really moved me was this quiet patience. People queued for hours, people who had not been involved in politics before. I saw an America that I hadn't fully appreciated before."
