In a career spanning seven decades, Sir Norman Wisdom, who passed away Oct. 4, 2010, at the age of 95, evolved from slapstick comedian to beloved entertainer. Indeed, if there were a Hall of Fame for British acting talent, he would probably share the limelight with the likes of Sir John Gielgud and Sir Alec Guinness. Not for nothing was he described by fellow great — and Brit — Charlie Chaplin as "my favorite clown."
