"The entire Secretariat is completely empty," Adlerstein says, with much of the staff now working in midtown Manhattan or in the temporary North Lawn Building. "We're basically gutting the Secretariat tower from slab to slab," Adlerstein says. The floors are being renovated to be able to easily "absorb new technologies as they happen."
