Technically the 1950 German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring was not a part of the Formula One season, as German races and drivers were excluded after World War II. But many drivers did compete under the Formula Two banner. Above, the Ferrari of Dorino Serafini leads the pack shortly after the start of the race, held on August 20, 1950. His teammate Alberto Ascari would eventually win the race.
