Porsche Type 64 Coupe: 1938-39
The only pre-war Porsche, the Type 64 Coupe, was built for a Berlin-to-Rome road race that was canceled after the outbreak of World War II. Only one of a total of three Type 64 Coupes survived the war, but the German automaker handbuilt an exact replica for the exhibit. Until now, the car had never been displayed in the U.S.
