Though he had been appearing on television and in film since about age 11, Haim first gained wide renown when he starred opposite Kerri Green, above, in the 1986 film Lucas. The movie, which included Charlie Sheen and Winona Ryder, earned the actor a nomination for the Young Artist Awards' Exceptional Performance by a Young Actor Starring in a Feature Film — Comedy or Drama.
